Company Section

A new year sees no let up in the activity of the Company Section! Already this year we have competed in two competitions. Our first Monday night back saw our chess team narrowly get put out in the National Chess Competition, losing out in the last game! Well done to Euan Russell, Scott MacLaughlin, Callum Russell and Crawford Kenny who saw us past Christmas in this competition!

The following week Jamie Blackhall, Matthew Russell, Callum Russell, Sam Morrison & Jack Morrison competed in the Glasgow Battalion Badminton competition. We were unfortunate to have everybody out by the second round, but with a young team, there is plenty of scope to for the boys to build on this experience.

The badge work does not cease on a Monday night with the Target Boys about to start looking at the effects of homelessness, having looked at the police service. We shall also be hosting the Springburn District Games night on 30th January, which we hope will be a great success.

Looking even further ahead, we are planning a weekend camp to Oban in May for the boys, so watch this space for more details!
